I spent the weekend before last looking at over 6,000 photos of cakes. I needed an intervention, but every time Mike asked what I was doing I just said “working on the wedding” so it is not his fault that my cake psychotic-ness continued.
There are so many beautiful floral inspirations out there. So many talented individuals from DIYers to professionals, I almost feel that you couldn’t go wrong with anything at all. Flowers are one of the most beautiful things mother nature has given to us. Here are just a few of the floral arrangement that have inspired the feeling we are working to achieve. I hope you get a sense of romance and elegance from these.
I am addicted to this DIY project that I found on oncewed.com. I’m hoping to incorporate these into the ceremony or the reception somehow they are just too good to pass up and they add a little fantasy and romance. Imagine they are hanging from an oak tree by fishing line, wouldn’t they look like they were floating in the sky? So cool. We’ll see if this project makes its way into our wedding decor, if not the rehearsal dinner.
I am so excited! In March we travel back out to San Francisco and then up into wine country to finalize our wedding plans. A big part of our trip will be the engagement shoot with Clifford Brunk of Brunk Photography. He has yet to snap a picture of us but his blog and all the images on his site are so inspiring I can’t help but be excited.
In my quest to find tandem bike nuances I discovered that several other brides are looking for the same thing. Another reason why I love Internet Marketing so much, we sometimes discover the most niche and random things people are looking for. You could truly have an entire web site dedicated to yellow sponge with green tops. But I digress…
Our caterer, St. Peter’s Fare, who also just happens to own the estate where we are getting married told us about Calegari Vineyards which is just around the bend from The Homestead (where we are getting married). It just so happens we are also going to be staying here during our wedding week and this will also be the location of our rehearsal dinner.
So, it is safe to make this post because the Save the Dates are out and we are on target to get the invites out by February 25.
The only reason it may not be safe to post this is because I may be in the doghouse for a few days with my fiance (aka Groomzilla). Okay, so this post is totally about the Save the Date “near disaster” experience.
Personally, I think our save the dates are hilarious and luckily Mike did too or they wouldn’t have gone out the door. In case anyone missed it, the flying pig symbolizes the “When Pigs Fly We’ll Get Married” and so, pigs must now be flying …
If you’re here and you haven’t been to mikeandliberty.com, maybe you should go. Maybe you didn’t think it was possible that there could be another Web site on the world wide web (teehee) that was all about us, again. You thought wrong.
So go check it out. For now, it is all about our wedding, the story of how we met, and guest details on the location, accommodations, travel, etc. Please also sign the guest book and absolutely don’t forget to get something on our gift registry (HAHA! just kidding). I’m in a sassy mood tonight so I am going to jam out a few more posts. Groomzilla Part Deux …
Or according to my WeddingWire 132 days. Yeesh! Well, I’ve got some much to write about and tell you about but only so much time. So hopefully this post won’t be one long run-on sentence. We are really in the thick of the wedding planning stages and I’ve tied Mike to my hip to help me out. We are still finalizing our florist and our cake so those are the last vendors we need to secure.
A few months ago I gave Mike this idea about “tandem bicycles” for our wedding theme and he loved it, and I love it too since we pretty much do everything together. When we …
